I can tell you right now that I never thought that I would be writing about Christina Aguilera being arrested for being drunk in public.
The details and reason for the arrest are far too weird not to share…the full story can be found here
The story thus far, Christina Aguilera and boyfriend Matthew Rutler were driving home in the early hours this morning. Mr Rutler was driving and Miss Aguilera was a passenger. Apparently they were pulled over and arrests were made;
Mr Rutler – arrested for driving under the influence
Miss Aguilera – arrested for public intoxication
First up, I am not trying to excuse anyone for drink driving, there’s absolutely no excuse BUT how can someone who is a passenger in a car be charged with public intoxication? I guess it depends on what you define as public intoxication…
California Penal Code 647(f) which is the code for public intoxication, as explained here;
Who is found in any public place under the influence of intoxicating liquor, any drug, controlled substance, toluene, or any combination of any intoxicating liquor, drug, controlled substance, or toluene, in a condition that he or she is unable to exercise care for his or her own safety or the safety of others, or by reason of his or her being under the influence of intoxicating liquor, any drug, controlled substance, toluene, or any combination of any intoxicating liquor, drug, or toluene, interferes with or obstructs or prevent the free use of any street, sidewalk, or other public way.
It’s one thing for Miss Aguilera to be taken to the Sheriff’s Station if SHE CHOSE to stay with her boyfriend, otherwise shouldn’t they have just put her in a taxi and sent her home? (or other vehicle that celebrities use?)
Is it just me or do you think that someone still might be mad at Christina for making a bit of a boo-boo at the SuperBowl??

I want to introduce you to a comedian that I have been following for quite some time.
As his popularity continues to grow I want to let you in on Canada’s hidden talent, a man who I was introduced to through YouTube and now holds a special place in my funny bone and iTunes collection.
Ladies and gentleman, Mr Jon Lajoie!
Jon’s popularity has been growing ever since the release of hi rap parody clip Everyday Normal Guy and now he has a solid fan base on YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. He has released two albums You Want Some of This? and I Kill People, stars on the TV show The League and performs regular stand up shows.
Ever since I laid eyes on his YouTube clip Show Me Your Genitals featuring his character MC Vagina, I have been hooked. I love his parodies on life and the music world and love the way he has embraced the online world to extend his fan base, posting regular updates on his Twitter page also allows for his fans to get a little piece of Lajoie between videos.
I really want Jon to venture to Australia and would love nothing more than for his Australian fan base to grow so uncontrollably that he has no choice but to come Down Under.

This super dad decided to hand paint his son’s room in the theme of the Super Mario Bros just because he thought that “it would be cool”.
Total cost to make this magic happen? $1100! Money well spent in my book.
